As the mobile gaming industry continues to soar, reports reveal that it has helped increase iGaming penetration. So much so that Persistence Market Research indicates that mobile iGaming may reach a market value of over $23 billion by 2033, just in the US. This is in light of a growing population of iGaming players who want to enjoy the superior convenience, seamlessness, and low-latency of mobile devices.
This has understandably birthed many iGaming-centric mobile gaming apps. As of December 2024, these now include an iOS version of the Americas Cardroom mobile poker app.
A primer on Americas Cardroom
Recognized as the US’ leading online poker site, Americas Cardroom was first established in 2001. Since then, it’s cemented itself as a trusted platform within the poker community thanks to its secure banking methods, crypto adoption, team of poker elites, anti-cheating software, and 24/7 access to huge tournaments. Dedicated to enhancing the online poker industry as a whole, the operator has also created inclusive resources for players of all skill levels. This includes offering generous promotions, such as a 100% welcome bonus, numerous satellite events with modest buy-ins, and even in-depth poker and crypto poker guides.
To further enhance the online poker experience, Americas Cardroom officially launched its mobile app in 2023. Initially, this was just available for Android, allowing players to participate in cash games, jackpots, multi-table tournaments, and Sit & Gos. Following updates, the mobile app also allowed players to join in Blitz poker, sportsbooks, and casino games, including live dealers and slots. Regarding the poker types playable on the app, players can choose from Hold’em, Omaha, and Stud.
A much-awaited iOS debut
After much demand from poker fans, Americas Cardroom finally released an iOS mobile app version at the end of last year. As mentioned in Ayla Anderson’s previous article, successful iOS apps should be user-friendly and accessible. In line with this, the iOS version of the Americas Cardroom app was specially designed to have easy navigation and seamless gameplay. Security also remains top of mind here, with deposits and withdrawals transacted in a discreet and safe manner.
In celebration of this launch, the operator also held a special limited-time Mobile-Only Multi-Table Tournament from December 8th to the 22nd. Americas Cardroom poker pro and industry icon Chris Moneymaker espoused the value of these in press releases, stating that they were meant to make it easier for players to partake in online poker matches amidst holiday festivities. Given that accessibility is part of Americas Cardroom’s ethos, the iOS version’s celebratory tourneys featured buy-ins as low as $5.50. Despite these modest numbers, guarantees were up to $10,000. The two-week events also included daily tourneys with prizes reaching $500. These were for players who were pressed for time or preferred fast-paced matches.
Currently, both the iOS and Android versions are downloadable for free. To ensure that players enjoy hassle-free gaming on their mobile devices, Americas Cardroom also has a dedicated help center and troubleshooting guides online.
